For A Perfect Dress

For A Perfect Dress                                                                                                                                                     The process of creating begins, of course, with the idea. Variety of images and impressions from the events, journeys, exhibitions, movies, reflected in one another, and the idea becomes reality. Before to start my STYLATI collection is necessary to analyze big amounts of information, including shows of Fashion Week, a modern street style. Travelling, looking catwalks, walking past a clothing store or encountering unusually dressed man in the street, I always make sketches or take pictures of interesting to me things.
I use these materials to make the Mood Boards, Color Boards, which help to see more clearly the theme of collection as a whole, not separated into the pieces. I concretize the mood and theme of Look Book and promotional materials.
At the stage of sketches I work at the silhouette, proportions, lines and design elements, I think over the finishing, accessories, color palettes. At the same time searching for a suitable material. This is one of the most important stages - I have to direct the creative flow in the right direction, and to predict all possible fitting and technological problems. To choose one sketch I have to make dozens of sketches and drafts.
When the sketch is ready I give it to the Engineer designer. It is very important to find the designer which is on the same wavelength with you, and his sense of lines and proportions matching with yours. So - the primary drawing templates are ready, the sample is cut out, and the tailor makes it half-finished.
First fitting. Here I must take into consideration everything. Fit, proportions, and aesthetic moments - that's only half the work. The model must be comfortable to wear, tech in production, reasonable cost.It can be2-3 samples and fittings, depending on the level of complexity and the fabric. When all the nuances taken into account and worked over, the sample is approved, an Engineer designer makes the gradation in size. Usually,  the primary sample we make in medium size, to avoid further inaccuracies in sizes. It is very important to understand how the proportions will change, and sometimes it needs to make one more sample in large.
Now we are ready for production. The sample, fabrics, accessories, complementary materials, as well as complete sets of templates together with the necessary supporting documents are sending to the manufactory.
